redhat 6.2 already comes with a patched version of kernel 2.2.14,
which includes the latest raid version. you can even set up the
raid graphically in their installer.
however, if you have to patch this kernel, (e.g. to support one
of the udma66 controllers), it will most likely fail. in this

for the 2.2.14 kernel get the patch from
http://people.redhat.com/mingo/raid-patches/
but afaik mandrake is built on redhat and the latest version
of redhat (which uses the 2.2.14 kernel) has raid support
built in.
