I'm on the road to resurrecting the horse. I've now acquired a dual PII 350 which will do the job nicely. All the user accounts will be restored in due course. (a horse is a horse of course of course!) For those who care - the new box is a generic PC motherboard rather than a custom compaq job.

Hi, you can also ncftp to yourself - at localhost. this provides a "reasonable test" of ftp - you do know exactly what files are in the given directory. Derek. > On Fri, 04 Mar 2005 11:36:07 +1300 > John Veitch wrote: > > > > Problem. To get a working FTP programme going. Seems a simple task

Nick, you are quite correct, if you have an ftp server running on localhost. I had (sigh) neglected to say this. However, if you are willing to compile ncftp from source, then you are most probably aware of such requirements. Derek. On Fri, 4 Mar 2005, Nick Rout wrote: > if you have an f

spamassassin is running almost fine, but seems to give too much weight to one factor. The factor is ALL_TRUSTED - which means all the MTA's the mail has gone thru are trusted, or conversely are not known spam senders/relayers. ALL_TRUSTED gives a negative score (ie less likely to be spam) So I am
