Yes i am using a daul boot system with windows, I have just
removed the no auto bit of the line and will re-boot to see
if it works.

sudo cp /etc/fstab /etc/fstab.bernard
this backs up in case of a f. up
sudo kate /etc/fstab
should give you a nice editor to make your changes in and then save them, its
very windows like, cut & paste e
