XP NTFS partition(s) are probably causing problems for the installer. The modern video card is also going to cause problems. He might want to try a text install then upgrade the kernel and the X server. Best bet is to get a more recent distro. Raymond Russell ___

By not getting his IP properly from the DHCP server he must have caused some problems. Comcast is a horror show in some area's and I think he lives in an area where Comcast is having problems. They probably noticed his IP was not changing which could cause problems if they were going to assign
