The specs look ok. I would think it supports most 'nix distros.
Unfortunately, that website doesn’t say if it supports booting from USB. Does
the manual say it can?

I can boot from usb that has a different disto (centos)
yes I'm burning the iso not copying it
I've had it boot centos from a dvd using a sata-dvd drive
