list through a ListView webpart on a page, you have to edit the

Thanks, but the fields don't show when I try and create a view or edit a
view. They appear when I first add the field to the task list

I've actually got a similar issue to that in a document library. The
columns are all there, populated with metadata ('choice' fields) however
when you add a document (or try to edit the properties) the fields
aren't visible.
