I have the same VST issue you describe as well. Is it to do with VST 32bit
libraries and a 64bit OS? This used to work in the previous version of LMMS
(0.4.15).

My apologies for the multiple emails, the Piano Roll Editor bugs were
directly caused by the lmmsrc.xml file from the GIT version.
The biggest bug seems to be VST behavior. I'll wait for some people to

Which account needs what permissions? I can add you to the admin group
too so you're able to do tasks like these as well.

If you have a USB it might be easier to just test it from a live version
(unless you have a Mac... booting form USB is rather absurdly hard in
most cases, or you computer doesn't support that).

I do have several versions in VM I use for testing, but the audio tends to
be the worst part.

This may have exited prior to 0.9.92, but it should probably be corrected
to not use an FX Channel by default.
