I have tested and would recommend Israel's 1.0.1 for the interim. 1.0.1 reported no bugs and worked both with and without wine. I'm not at a computer now to post the PPA, but that's the one I'd recommend until a proper SRU is accepted. -

We really need to solve this fast. Apparently, both the KXStudio package and the official package have problems in 14.04, neither seems to be working properly in 14.04. We need to have at least one binary package that is usable in 14.04. Something that we can recommend to users when they show up
