We have an internet cafe running Mandrake 8.2 with eight diskless
workstations connected using ltsp. On the whole the system works well
even supporting sound using either esoundd or nasd. My question is, how
can I get crossover to send the sound to the workstations rather than

I added the following to /etc/X11/xdm/Xsetup:
# Turn NumLock on ( numlockx ) ---
/usr/X11R6/bin/numlockx
# numlockx ---
# turn beeps off
/usr/X11R6/bin/xset b off
It quieted the beeps, numlockx is also helpful for turning on the
numlock. FYI we use
Good points Jason. Unfortunately while we have not 100% ruled out PCs, they
are still rather unlikely. Also a few things I would like to clear up
regarding our particular environment

with the new Sis630ET chipset.

debugging process.
For those of you interested, the process is:
1. download the 2.4.18 kernel from ftp.kernel.org
