open sessions allowed simultanously, it so happens
that there is no elegant

I would highly recommend that you update your PXE code to v2.0 or higher since PXE 1.0 is too bug-ridden to be useful. You can download the flash utility to update your boot ROM from Intel's website.

Hi everbody,
I am trying set up diskless boot using PXE. I am using SuSE 8.0 and Intel
eepro100 card. When I boot client I get message:
Intel UNDI, PXE-1.0 (build Dev)
DHCP MAC ADDR: mac address of client
PXE-E53: No boot filename received
Operating System not found.
On server side tail /var/log/

When I installed the LTSP server, the rc.local file from ltsp_core was
overwritten by the ltsp_x_xvesa file. The rc.local file in the xvesa
package is older and doesn't have the option for the different

also copied XF86_5530 to /tftpboot/lts/ltsroot/ltsbin/.

I haven't really followed this thread about the Xvesa xserver,
but one thing I might add is that the Xvesa xserver is NOT
a normal XFree86 xserver. it is part of the Tiny-X series
of Xservers. They are part of the XFree86 package,
but they are very different.

Reading into your message about video hardware, I thought about
changing the available video memory via the BIOS setup, outside of
changing it to 1MB or less, the client continued to run at 1024x768.
