Matthew,
it was my understanding that you needed ISA cards - no wake-on-lan
on those! If you can use PCI, just buy the l

Hello friends of the forum I put in the University Juan Misael Saracho
LTSP(Tarija-Bolivia), so that they can give classes, (java, fpc..etc). But I have a
great problem with fpc (free pascal compiler(./)). all the maquinas I make it run (20
equipment) in runlevel 4.
ejm:
[ pc5 ]
...
Fanying,
First thing I would do is set 'RUNLEVEL = 3', and then when you
get a bash prompt, type this command:

That will show you how much RAM was detected and how much SWAP is
configured and in use.
That will at least make sure that the kernel has the same idea
about the amount of me
If you are running Redhat, then edit your /etc/sysconfig/desktop
file and add a new line:
DISPLAYMANAGER=KDE
If you have any other lines in the file, leave them alone.
Also, the above line does NOT mean that KDE will run, it is only

# ssh -X [EMAIL PROTECTED]
but I could not login It mentioned something which I could not recall
and I hit 'Enter'. 'Y' continued running down the terminal window. I
closed the terminal and restarted it later issuing the same command.
This time it worked and I

Julius,
Are you suggesting PXE now comes standard on all PCI
cards nowadays? For experimentation, I recently got a
set-top box case that uses mini-ITX boards, has USB
and PS/2 port on front and has a PCI slot on the back.
My two (soon to be three) labs biggest point of
failure is in the sw

Joseph,
Many rt8139 boards shipped do not have the external ROM enabled. Very
few boards are used that employ boot rom. Realtek has a DOS setup
utility on their website that will let you set the chip correctly.
Hope this helps,

The reason I ask is a year ago I did an install with redhat 7.3 and this
project in a small office. Works great but redhat has put the new
license scheme into effect and now the updates expire at the end of
december. I need to switch to a new distro but don't want no downtime.
