Sure, lots of people are running LTSP on amd64 and opteron servers.
THe architecture of the server has very little to do with LTSP.
So long as it serves up dhcp, tftp, nfs and xdmcp it should work fine.

I'm using RedHat 9.0 with all packages updated to the last errata update
through RedHat Network and the latest version of LTSP downloaded from the
site.
Apart from the G
