Hello All;
I want thinclients only to connect win2003 Server. So I don't want to
use NFS at all. Is it possible to build initrd in such a way that, it
will mount root file system on ram and from there execute only rdesktop??
I have installed all network on Redhat 9 Linux. It's working fine al

Obviously, something ISN'T ok, because it's not working, right? :)

I'm sorry Scott, I've been side-tracked onto some other work for a bit.
I want to get back onto this but it will have to wait a little.
I'll post back here with those questions answered as soon as I can.
Thanks.

Now I got your point!!
In fact hard disk space for swap is cheap (I agree with you).
However "network swap" I do no

Thanks for the feedback. I made a note on the WorkInProgress section of
the wiki for folks who want to use the pkg on 4.2. At some point, I
will incorporate all of these bits into a new tarball and upload.

Folks,
In a school environment, I need *all* students to have access to local

I changed the permissions of the /usr/bin/fusermount program

Hi Gideon,
I have tried that and it did not help. So I started investigating and
found out that there is no /dev/ram* on my LTSP 4.2 client -> /root
stays read only.
So my quick fix was:
1) in /etc/screen.d/startnx remove any reference to /dev/ram* and change
setenv HOME=/root

Ondrej,
On the DisklessWorkstations.com site, if you click on the 'LTSP Term'
link on the left side of the screen, you'll get a complete list of all
of the thin clients we sell. The LTSP Term 170 w/DVI is at the bottom
of that list.
Sadly though, it doesn't support 1600x1200.

Alistair,
When I ran into the "no content" problem it was because I had
forgotten to add the user to the fuse group.
Be sure to reboot the client after adding the user to the fuse group
before testing again.

Hi Leonid,
I do not se any LTSP 170/DVI station there. But all CLE266 based
workstations (like the model 170) can do 1600x1200 (I have tested that).
But it is quite problematic to get DVI output (you need LVDS DVI module)
from them :-(

Hi Jim!
Would it be possible to have an amd64 ltsp-server-pkg made? I have an
ubuntu dapper + ltsp4.2 server in testing and have managed to get local
device access working by using the i386 ubuntu package, but its not
elegant and required some fudges.
