It's been a while since I fiddled under the hood:
I need to do some local media fiddling:
boot to shell (on my thin client)
modprobe ide-disk
ide-core and ide-disk loaded
no udev hdx entries are created
create them with mknod
access one:
no such file ...
What have I missed?
