the bug that prevented easy-ltsp from starting is fixed. The packages in
the repo [1] are updated and again ready for testing. A tarball is also
available for download [2].
The kiwi module got a new look (screenshot on my blog[3]) and the kiwi
localapp variable was added.

Hi. Anybody knows How can I configure a custom kernel for LTSP-4.2?
I probe LTSP5, all ok, but the problem is that when my clients boots this
take 1:30 hour in charge. I have two servers, each with 50 clients. With
LTSP-42 this take 10 minutes.
Also a student say me that kernel 2.6.17.8-lts

I had the same problem: whatever I wrote in lts.conf, it was ignored by
the client. I use LTSP5 on Ubuntu 8.04 Server.
The problem was: the client asked for lts.conf from wrong directory.
Try to sniff (wireshark, etc.) the network to get sure, if it is not
your problem too.

We switched a server from LTSP 4.1 to LTSP 5 on Ubuntu 8.04. It was a
completely fresh install of Ubuntu 8.04 with the LTSP mode.
The terminals are now taking a long time to boot. About 8 minutes

We are using EtherBoot.
