John, I let the originals 40-ltsp-server (on server) and 40-ltsp-client (on
chroot), only changed the lts.conf.

Did you managed to resolve this? Im researching for this to, i find two
interesting files:
/usr/share/ldm/rc.d/X01-localapps
and /usr/share/ldm/rc.d/I00-localapps-cleanup
The first one create the client.conf and the second one erases the file on
startup.
If you comment the lines that

file /etc/X11/Xsession.d/40-ltsp-client from the ltsp chroot and
running ltsp-update-image.

I'm getting this error when try to login in Lubuntu:

localuser:bruno being added to access control list

I've installed a new teste server with Ubuntu 14.04 x64 and ltsp-server.
Everything is going well until i try to login with FAT client.
After I put de username/password, the desktop didn't load.
In .xsessions-errors in the user folder i see this:

same error as you:
In my FAT client, i can login via console (CTRL+ALT+F1) but cannot login in
X.
Also, when I login in console, it says i don't have a home dir.
Can you please share your steps to make it work?
