have upgraded from 2.08 to 2.09pre4 and have one slight problem
Workstation boots ok all looks good except I am getting vertical bars
instead of fonts on menu items, terminals sessions etc..
It is like a system font is missing. Server is all ok.
i used the lts_x_core and lts_x_fonts for 2.
In Paul Whittakers 'diskless Windows cookbook' he makes mention of
requirements for NFS server for win2k
ie - support symbolic links, character and block special files.
Has anyone come across a NFS server that does this, or is MS Windows
Services for Unix still the best bet - with kernel re-comp

windows2000 TS session on diskless ws.

have successfully set up server and one client and logged into xsession.
much joy.
upon upgrading standard gnome to ximian-gnome at server client no longer
brings up login prompt. x starts but times out with grey screen. 'XDM: too
many transmissions' I notice some fixes on the list for KD
