How to limit the users to open too many programs?
By using PAM, limits.conf and the nofile option set to 20 (number of

Hi Martin,
I know that Ati has its own drivers for Linux. Install this in your
ltsp-part of your machine (by using chroot-command). Hopefully this works.
Kind regards,
Erwin.

Hi Fajar,
The first option, so accessing samba from a windows machine but using
eth1, while also using eth1 for ltsp.
In other words, can I bind samba on eth1 f.e. or does it conflict with
ltsp on eth1?
Kind regards,
Erwin.

Hi all,
Maybe a stupid question, but the thing is that I want a ltsp-system and
samba all at the same time. I mean, the clients should be able to enter
Windows, which is installed on the clients-hard disk and through this
they should be able to contact the Edubuntu server for samba.

Hi Jim,

Hi all,
My ltsp-system works perfectly well until I add more clients to it.
Since buying extra memory is not very attractive (Senegal, not very
rich) it should be nice to specify an option to use either more the
memory in the server (1GB) or in the clients (128 MB).

Hi Jussi,
I got it to run, but I used an older version of hp-lip that worked:
hplip-1.6.10.run-package. Than I just added it with the standard
gnome-printer-interface. That worked for me.
Good luck!
Erwin.

Hi Jim,
Suppose you're right, but I have to start all over then (everything else
works very well). I was hoping I just missed a small configuration...
Besides, I was really eager to know what I'm missing here. But it seems
I'm loosing the small battle...
Thanks anyway! I'll try the
(/var/run/drives/cdrom), but checking the location gives
nothing.
So how to make the local storage actually work? How to make lsbuscd
actually working?
Thanks in advance and have a nice weekend!
Erwin.

Hi Jose,
Forgot to say that I tried these settings in lts.conf
:
For these devices, you only need to set LOCAL_STORAGE = y in
lts.conf, no special modules needed.
Double check that you have a valid media on these devices --- a valid
media is one that have a file system on it, music cds *aren't valid
medias*.

I followed the instructions on

in effect nothing works.
I tried many things, but now I'm clueless
