ltsp/NBD guys:

As ltsp-update-image is a long-time consuming process, the idea is let
ltsp image as clean as possible, and don't create a new image unless we
really need to do it, but just change configuration

Hi all:
I have a 200+ PC's students lab with Ubuntu 16.04-64bit gnome-based
LTSP fat clients. (local swap, nfs mounted home, ldap ids/gids )
Everything works fine... but cannot properly poweroff PC's, either
by gnome session poweroff button, or by mean of "sudo /bin/poweroff",
or even pressing phy
Hi all
I need to allow start same ltsp client in several ways: thin, fat,
autologin... sadly, the [xx:xx:xx...] mac entries in lts.conf file is
not an option for me, as using the same client to boot different
configurations and/or image files
So I've added a "ltsp.ltsconf=xxx" option for kernel com

Hi all
Trying to install a Ubuntu-gnome 13.10 32bits fatclient from 12.04 64
bits ltsp server
Everything goes... but when inserting USB (vfat formatted) pen drive,
instead of mounting device, a winwdow dialog prompts me for root
password and a message about polkit issue:

Hi all
I'm trying to optimize network performance on a 250+ NBD fat clients by
mean of caching data in client's hard disk (actually only used for swap)
I've located fscache modules and cachefilesd daemon, but seems only to
work only with NFS and CIFS remote mounts ¿Is this correct?
Else ¿Any easy
Hi all!
We have 200+ fat clients in our student's labs with Ubuntu 12.04
LTSP and want to perform some load tests by turning on all
the pc's at once, autologin a testuser and firing up on startup
several apps in every client
Our problem is that LDM_USERNAME and LDM_PASSWORD values are
easily av
After upgrading my 12.04 ltsp fat client, it doesn't boot
initrd and vmlinux are loaded w/o problems; nbd is working
fine, /sbin/init-ltsp starts... and then hangs
I've isolated the problem: is related to mountall 2.36
when there are nfs mountpoints in fstab.
By removing any nfs related entry
Works fine. Thanks

Hi all:
I have an student's lab with 120+ PC as Ubuntu 12.04 fat clients
Some of those PC's have two network interfaces
- The first one to boot, tftp and nbd connections
- The second one for students practices, classes, demos and so
I have two problems related:
- First one: I need to make sure

Hi all:
I Handle an student's lab with 120+ PC configured as fat clients with
ubuntu 12.04 and several replicated ltsp servers
I use ldap to authenticate users and a separate nfs/cifs NAS server to
store student's home directories.
With Ubuntu 10.04 I replaced ldm with gdm and successfully mount
Hi all.
(I'm new to this list, also new to ltsp, so my excuses for my not-for-me
obvious errors)
I manage a 150+ ltsp fat client environment with heterogeneous hardware.
Many of the client PC's have two network interfaces (one for booting
+nbd, and the other for our purposes) , and I have problems
