2 hours later while I have been watching the X factor on TV, I have been thinking about my last answer. I want to step back from that answer and go back to what it's all about.( If i'm wrong , someone out there please correct me) If you want to run a fat client, the clients should have at least 1GB

You are going to have to install all the software on the client, except that one large one which you install on the server. You will also have to install the window manager on the client. Haven't done that , sounds like fun. Hope you clients have at least 1GB memory. Don't know the answer to vlc. Y
