I recently acquired a Sun Sparcstation 5. Would this machine work well as an LTSP server? It maxes out at 256 Megs of RAM. Would it work suitably for serving 3-5 clients? If not, would it work well as a client? If so, does anyone know if this thing can be netbooted? The service manual for it

What operating systems do you have available and working at this point? Do you have a copy of the wireless package? If so, use the tar command Jim showed in his previous post to unpack the files. If you only have windows available, winzip should be able to untar the files for you. Using windows,

I've done all the things you suggest, but I am unable to boot the clients with use XFS = Y in my lts.conf file. They try to start X and choke and sit and retry in an loop. I know xfs is running, because if I grep xfs out of a ps -aux it shows up, but it doesn't show as listening when I do a netst
