/dev/nvram does not exist on any machine I could get my hands on, and neither my QNAP NAS runing Linux. It looks like 'modprobe nvram' would work if the module was compiled. There is some documentation referencing that the BIOS settings are actually stored in this area next to the Realtime Clock

Hi, I am trying to figure out the central BIOS settings update for thin clients. I read /dev/nvram keeps this settings and it is said that it is possible to save and restore it using dd command. I am not sure whether it is possible in LTS and client environment. If i run a command at the
