Is the workstation creating the RamDisk? Do you see many errors when the
system boots up?

Despite my best attempts at troubleshooting and spending many hours looking

passing init=option
with RedHat 6.1.
In LTSP 2.08 I understand the kernel does an nfsroot.
I believe your kernel is able to reach your server but cannot get an nfs
mount.
