Well, I figured it out. It had nothing to do with Slackware 11 or LTSP
v4.2. Our application is web-based. I run an OLD version of Firefox in
a kiosk mode. I introduced a fixed-position header in the latest
version of the program, with some css hackery. Apparently this old

I did infact look for the ati driver *on* the thin client, and that is
what is being reported as being used on the thin client.

It would be interesting to see which video driver is being used. Setup
shell screen, and look at the XF86config file and see which driver it's
using.
If it's using 'vesa', it probably gonna be slow. In that case, you'd
want to force 'ati' by setting XSERVER = ati in the lts.conf

Any chance you have the hardware acceleration line uncommented in ltsp.conf?
Hey guys, got a problem. I recently re-built a server for a client, and
in the process upgraded from Slackware 10 to Slackware 11, and from LTSP
4.1 to LTSP 4.2. Everything has worked great, except for I'm having a
little bit of a problem with the screen not refreshing as fast as before.
