Seems like the premium driver is available for free now:

Hi;
I have few ebox-2300 thin clients running. They are using SIS550 graphic
chip. I have downloaded latest free driver from Thomas Winischofer site
and the driver loads fine. However, in xorg.log there are still some
messages that the premium, non free driver has some extra features for the
ICOP
