Just to add to what the guys have said below. I've had great success
locking down KDE with the kiosktool program. As always google for more

mode. Even though I never use LTSP in a large computing environment YET
like schools lab for instance, so far it works great. Users cannot mess
up the UI and can run things that are on their screen Firefox and

IceWM would be perfect for this, its extremely customizable. I use
IceWM in a complete kiosk setup where the user is autologged-in and gets
a full screen Firefox and has access to nothing else. The
administration account which my clients use is also setup with IceWM,

With Icewm, you can create the menu file to have only the apps you want.
