specify the IO address, the card will automatically
detect it.
BUT, you MUST turn off ISA Plug-n-play on that card to

I have some problems with LTSP and my 3com 509B-combo ISA network card.
This is the error I get when I try to boot (via floppy)

You can pass the runlevel to the Kernel at Bootup or you have to write
your own startup script which will be started by init and gives you a
menu.
