I'm consistently getting the "unable to open an initial console"
problem when booting the client after building my kernel. I've used the
kernel config file that came with the ltsp_initrd kit but to no avail. I
must have tried just about every tweak and configuration within the
kernel but st

Make sure devfs is enabled in the kernel config.
Also, are you using the buildk script to combine the
kernel and the initrd image ?

Did you try "make oldconfig" using the ltsp config file

i have a problem with LTSP and Mosix in the booting Prozess.
There is a Failuremessage
unable to open initial console
the Server ( LTSP 3.0 ) works fine with the normal client-kernel
from LTSP.
Because of Mosix i have to Build my own.
can anybody help ??
