team would release anything without these guys. :)
Also, if anybody with a PPC machine would like to test to make sure it
works, even though we aren't releasing an image, that would be great. :)

You don't *have* to use webchat. You can use Kiwi IRC or any other IRC
client for that matter, but you can't use Tor on freenode.

That's where Lubuntu hosts it's IRC channels and we don't plan on changing that
any time soon. Sorry.
If you want to avoid it, just send emails to the mailing list with your
results. You don't *need* to use IRC. :)

This is not an issue with Canonical, Ubuntu, or any Linux distribution for that
matter. freenode has a policy against using Tor.
Sorry.

as well.
I'm predicting that it doesn't affect Lubuntu and/or Ubuntu Server because the
mini.iso cuts down on a lot of different packages, but I could be wrong.
Looping the Ubuntu Server list in and leaving Nio's original email below just
in case someone is experiencing the same thing.

Greetings,
My name is Simon Quigley and I am a member of the Lubuntu Team. The
Lubuntu team is running a bug day on Tuesday, July 26, 2016. It’s a spin
of a hug day.
We will have an Ubuntu On Air session on Monday, July 25, 2016 from 19

Hi Nio,
Thank you for taking the time to find out a workaround for this. Your
work is greatly appreciated. :)
As for the bug( https://pad.lv/1574278 ), it seems to be an artwork
issue, so I've carbon-copied Rafael Laguna to bring this to his attention.
Have a nice day!

To help further diagnose, what you are waiting for is the startup of
lightdm.
I can't provide any further help from there as I don't know.
Good luck!

ust a few updates, I totally see
your point. But for something as massive as a release update, to be safe, you
should restart.
Hope that clears things up!

Greetings,
All of the packages are updated, and in those packages are system services that
need to be restarted for the update to be applied. It's just easier to reboot
than to have to restart each process one by one.

Doodle is not an online community. It's a polling spot.
And either way, I think Walter misspoke. Doodle is for scheduling, not
polling.
I've just given up and used Google Forms: http://goo.gl/forms/l5LjivGYUJ
