Ok, so to troubleshoot Xorg look at /var/log/Xorg.0.log and look for errors. If you need help please use pastebin and send the link so we can examine it. This is the first step to find out what is wrong with your graphics. It *could* be a driver issue, or something else is wrong. Thanks On

Hi Neil. I haven't had Lubuntu fail to install. I tend not to use it as a live CD as the computers I work on are rather old and not really suited for that task. I refurbish old PCs on behalf of a mental health charity, Contact, and they are given to Contact's members, their carers or families.
