I figured it out how to make work the setup correctly: I got the kernel 3.2.-04 from debian wheezy and, voilà, sound and even correct sleep mode (standby, suspend, you name it) is there. Till now, i did not notice any problem. (inxi shows the correct sound card:MacSoundSnapper). May be, i should

Since i did not really understand, where and how to go better, for the ppc problems, for the moment i continue to post here: Aside all errors (and some others as well) i discovered that sound absolutely does notwork. So, i decided to erase the lubuntu-ppc and went to try a Debian Jessie.

Hi, Actually Ubuntu inherited the no sound bug from Debian :( So... 12.04 is probably the best bet for now. You can do a mini install of Ubuntu, and customize it however you like. Obviously the Lubuntu packages are not being updated for 12.04. However, there are other DE options as well as

I sucessfully installed lubuntu 14.04 ppc. That's great. By far less great is the experience with. Below i list the errors i noticed at a first glance (the machine is a pb g4, 1,3 ghz + altivec with 2 gb ram): - Suspend does not work. It only blanks the screen and from that it's impossible to
