FYI, e2fsck is part of e2fsprogs rpm package. You can update e2fsprogs
independently from lustre version.

If you want to pursue tuning options, you may wish to look at LUDOC-267

LU-3222 is a good reference for mellanox tuning parameters.

version of e2fsprogs. However there may not be a way to add LARGEDIR
feature without re-formatting the MDT volume.

My experience is sometimes the recipe to deactivate an OST works
flawlessly sometimes other times the clients hang on "df" command and
timeout on file access. I guess the order which you run the commands
(ie. client vs server) is important.

Another clever approach is to use ost pools to mask out your bad ost.

the lctl --device=xx deactivate is what sets an ost to read-only mode, it
doesn't permanently disable int in the system... or hav
te.lazystatfs option but it may
do the same thing.
FWIW, an alternative command to deactivate an OST is command "lctl
--device=XX deactivate".

FWIW, ko2iblnd tuning failed for us in a mixed IB environment where
lustre servers use different HCAs from the lustre clients. Our solution
was to modify the modprobe ko2iblnd config and remove the new paramaters

Are you using truescale IB interfaces ?
There is a known truescale bug in rhel/centos 6.6 kernels. You should
try kernel 2.6.32-504.23.4 or newer. Some details of the bug are in
LU-6698 and RHSA-2015-1081.
