The German Lute Socity published some pamplets and books of music
including "Goethe's Lieder zur Laute" around the turn of the century
(the previous turn).
I used to play these for fun. I don't know how far back the society
goes, but it was active. You can see pictures of people playing real

Persönlich war mein Vater in ziemlicher Behaglichkeit. Er befand sich wohl,
brachte einen großen Teil des Tags mit dem Unterricht meiner Schwester zu,
schrieb an seiner Reisebeschreibung und stimmte seine Laute länger, als er
darauf spielte. Er verhehlte da

matter: Dr. Frank Legl (Weilheim/Germany): "Johann Caspar Goethe und die
Laute".

Nobody never says nothing. Also Markus Lutz (of our List?) was there as one
