Dear collective wisdom
Has anyone heard of the piece Sho gyo mu yo, by Shoko Suzuki? It's for
"theorbo and baritone", and will be performed tomorrow at Hi Art Gallery,
NYC, by Cygnus Ensemble.
Greetings

Does anybody has Holborne's Pavan 2. I have a pdf version from
Gerbode's site but I'd love to check the original tablature.
Best wishes.

Potentially quite a sophisticated version of a country dance tune (?)
Anyway, I like it. I've just seen that Val has youtubed it too. Here's
my shot (with my pic of a Bordeaux vineyard - for no particular reason)

Dear Lex,
Yes, the piece appears on folio 63v of Valderrábano's book. Phalèse
nicked quite a few things from Valderrábano, and didn't always get them
right.
At the beginning of this piece three voices enter one after the other.
It is odd that the second voice in both sources has an extra note to

Johann Friedrich Daube was born in 1733 in Hessen (Germany) and
This music also appears in Silva de Sirenas by Valderrabano of 1547.
He probably is the composer.
