Even nowadays, surveys of non-Americans indicate that most people do not hate
Americans, they hate the current American government. That puts them in company
with at least 51 percent of Americans as well.

I am wondering what the experience has been in the past for people flying to
LSA w.r.t being able to get their lutes (mine being a conventional size 8
course) in the overhead compartment, or whether this is a lost cause.

I get preferential boarding status and so the bins are usually empty when I
walk in. Otherwise, it's best to get a seat near the rear of the airplane so
you board early.

Don't know for the US, but middle of this month I went from Bremen
(Germany) to Prague with my 11c lute as hand luggage. Hand luggage that
didn't fit into the overhead compartments was collected in front of the
plane and was handed back when passegers left the plane at the
destination. No prob at
