If I want to "branch" a document currently registered with rcs, I find
that I must:
(i) save as under a different name
(ii) close the document
(iii) reopen the document, then register it with rcs.
You can't skip (ii) for some reason. Maybe this shouldn't be necessary.

I use gdb with lyx, and start it with a file as argument. I put some
breakpoints that interrupt lyx before the banner has disappeared.
The banner stays in the middle of the screen, while I try to use the
debugger on the unobstructed part of the screen; this is not very
convenient.

ignored, this is wrong. My mistake :-)
This patch also corrects a spell error since that is the mood today ;-)

No, if you define the function inside the class definition,
you don't need inline.
