Sunsite if no one else is planning to.
BTW, it has been a while since I built a binary, but I was surprised that
the "make bindist" command did not automagically create a binary with
libXpm and libforms compiled in statically.

here are some ideas for 1.0.1 to improve the user interface:
1. To make life easier for beginners, why not tell them they can't insert 2
spaces at one position if they try? A patch is appended. The same could be
done for 2 returns etc (haven't found where to put that yet).

I just took a look at www.lyx.org, and it basically uses language from an
ancient, long-ago shredded version of the press release.
Has there be no thought of updating it for the 1.0 release?

You have the press release, right? The language, while shorter, should be
pretty close. We certainly list a lot of new features in 1.0. The
comparison seems fairly to be against 0.10.7, as this is the most widely
tried version among the potential user base out there.

As in man page, I set the Enviroment LYX_DIR_10x to the libdir
/usr/X11R6/share/lyx in my profile and get the error :
LYX_DIR_10x environment variable no good.

The lyx-1.0.0-1.src.rpm now compiles fine on my system
(RH-4.2 with gcc-2.7.2.3). The problem was indeed due to memory
exhaustion. After closing Netscape and a few other desktop hogs, the
compile went through fine even with optimization.
