Hi,
The dialog that pops up with "buffer-child-insert"
(currently under "File->Insert->File...") can't be
closed by using the windowmanager's "X" in the upper
right corner of the dialog window.
Clicking on "X" is ignored.
The button works, though.

sensitive (tex: latex, nw: noweb etc.) but can be

Well, maybe.
There has been a loss of connectivity at least from Germany over uunet
(if I understood it right), so maybe you just have been in the "other"
part.

Try opening the Edit menu and select the "Floats & Insets" submenu, now
without canceling anything click to open the "Tabular" submenu, notice
that the old submenu doesnt close, and all that happens is that the edit
menu is now focused, t

to "Spell command" (there are a couple of them) cause
LyX to crash:
leave the dialog open and change your selection
a couple of times: ispell, aspell, none, ispell
etc. LyX will generate a
