Hi, list, I have been using LyX version 1.3.4 from Debian unstable,
and I have come across what seems to be some sort of bug.
1)First, I type any text, shift-select it, and try to change the setting for
the Misc box in the character layout menu, for instance, I try to emphasize

Yes. Note that we already set some Makefile variables for each
frontend, so it would not be really more complicated.

I would add only three items to Jean-Marc's excellent agenda of what
needs to be done for LyX/Mac:
- The source for 1.4.0 needs a mechanism to make the locale
directories relocatable for LyX/Mac, either the hack I used in 1.3.4,
or a solution that would apply to other architectures.
- It i

Why exactly? Glade files are

Yes, we definitely should. Did you fix that? (1.3.5cvs could use this
too).

I promised to share my thoughts on what needs to be done, so here they
are in no particular order:
- sort out what the problems with recent (3.2 or 3.3) versions of Qt
are, and try to make LyX/Mac work correctly with them. Report Qt
bugs that have been identified.
- fix the display of lfun b
