Yes, it is better. Note that you should also (in addition to
--enable-profiling) pass:
--disable-assertions --disable-stdlib-debug --enable-optimization=-O2
(or -Os) to LyX' configure.

Oh how embarrassing.
Maybe I'm blind but everything appears to be quoted correctly to me. The lines

Hello developers,
I just realized a bug in lyxpreview2ppm-py that prevents a working
Instant preview when LyX is installed in a path with spces.
The problem ist the following:
When LyX is installed in e.g. C:\Program Files\LyX Ghostscript is called
by lyxpreview2ppm as
gswin32c.exe C:\Program
Here is an updated nb_Intro.lyx for 1.4cvs

this is new functionality in LyX 1.4.
* Checked that the rest of the document still matches the English original.
* Uses the filename nb_Intro.lyx instead of the deprecated no
The userguide claims that you can't nest "section", "subsection",
"subsection*" or "section*" into other environments.
But that is wrong - lyx 1.4cvs supports nesting these
environments into enumerate at least, and it works fine
with latex too.
Perhaps nesting "section" is an odd thing to do, but

I think we should fix this for LyX 1.4.

Dear Uwe,
Thats why I am so confused! I don't know latex, only a few command.
It was really hard for me to try to reproduce the error with minimum
effort.
I tryed to export to latex an delete sections from the end, but it was also
confusing, sometime it was working, sometimes it was not.

Hello Szöke,
attached a LyX-file that won't be compiled. But when you delete thre to
five characters somewhere in the text it will.
I asked Herbert Voss, perhaps he has an idea.

H. gmane and it's bloody encryption! That's
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous AT cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/qtwin
Replace " AT " with "@".

I get the following 5 error in boxes, afterward comes the latex.log file.

No need for this. I fixed them all in the meantime.

Lars, it would be nice too if you could restore the code that puts cvs
commit texts in the relevant bugzilla entry.
