Yes, what you write works on Windows. As others already wrote this is not option
on many other platforms (although TeXLive is present, "live update" is not

Steps to reproduce:
1.) Open new document
2.) In document settings select module for enumitem
3.) create enumerated list
4.) Right click to select "Optional layout Argument" (Untranslated!)
5.) There is now "Optional layout Argument" entry.
