There seems to be a well known issue that if LyX crashes that the .lyxpipes files are not properly deleted and this causes problems. I have created an automator script that deletes these. Could you modify LyX's start up sequence to automatically delete these files, just in case the program

I had a devil of a time finding out how to make pdfsyc work. I finally found the answer in the developer's mail list. I suggest adding the following the the mac section of the wiki near where DVI search is written. (No password so I couldn't do it myself.) http://wiki.lyx.org/Mac/Mac#toc7

I downloaded and installed the binary version of Qt4 for the mac so I wouldn't have to compile it. Can anyone tell me what I should be using for /path/to/Qt4 as referenced in the build instructions? Everything I've tried gives me a Qt library not found error. Do I need to compile Qt4 from
