AOO and LO help contain a comprehensive list of the formula sytax: in Help - Formulas - General Information - Math Features there is a hyperlink pointing to the reference list. Even worse, if one uses the newer (Word 2007 and up) equation format (which is default if one uses the .docx format), then saves as .doc, the newer equations are irreversibly converted to pictures. Windows version were updated, including the documentation. On the Mac, the installation of unoconv needs some tweaking, which is described in the documentation, and it works only with LibreOffice, not OpenOffice. -- Wilfried Hennings
