linking problem with 1.1.6fix1

Hi, I use linux, a redhat 7.0, on a pentium III. I tried to compile lyx-1.1.6fix1 with xforms 0.88 first, but it didn't worked, I got a message described in the INSTALL text in the Problem sections, so I did what was suggested, that is upgrade the xform libs. So then I retried with xforms 0.89,

LyX 1.1.6fix1 RPM faulty?

Hi Guys I've tried to upgrade to LYx1.1.6fix1 from ftp://ftp.sylvan.com/pub/lyx/ but there's something wrong with the RPM. I can't run reconfigure as either root or as myself. Nothing on my linux box has changed since 1.1.6. lyx LyX: Creating directory /root/.lyx/ and running configure...
