I'm trying to display greek math equations under Mandrake 8, and instead of
displaying the greek characters, said characters disappear, and I get nothing
until output.
I suppose that I can still deal with this issue, since the output is fine,
but having to look at the output to see the actua

An excellent question! My top priority as a writer is to use an absolutely
no-brainer tool. Even with a no-brainer
I've recently set up my X server to run two screens on two monitors. LyX
operates normally on the primary monitor, the first one listed in the server
layout (I'm using X v.4.1). However, running lyx from the second monitor
causes the following error:
BadMatch (Invalid parameter attributes)

Hello,
I have an issue with the bibliography that I hope I can find a solution
here. In the main document (that includes a pile of other LyX files), I
use fancyhdr to redefine the headers. My settings smallcap the word
chapter as well as the chapter name, in the heading. Now, for the
bibliography,
Hello,
I just wanted to forward this package announcement to the LyX users
group. My group did all of their recent chip documentation in LyX, so
this package is meant to work well with it.

LaTeX, why bother using LyX? ;)
I used to write with LaTeX, using xemacs/auc-tex, and switched to LyX
for two reasons:
1) because the LyX interface is less off-putting to others who we

No. In TeX mode type:
\rule{100mm}{0.5mm}
the first {} specifies the width, the second {} the thickness of the line
Hope this helps,

You could use the latex command \rule{20mm}{1mm} in LaTeX style,
and change the size as you like.
I want a horizontal line between to paragraphs
Do I have to make a line.eps and insert it as a figure?
