Herbert,
Thanks for the tip. I'd be a little cautious about doing this though;
Elsevier (allegedly) use the latex files directly in their system. In
theory it shouldn't have any effect, but it might be preferrable to not to
make the change, if there is an alternative.
I'll send you the files sh

this can't work. your text has only "titles" means
section/subsection-headers, which doesn't makes sense.
Look at attached example, what to do in this case.
Herb
I had a swell time using Lyx to work on this document in RedHat linux
with Lyx 1.1.6fix4:

My coauthor used a text editor to prepare some tabulars in LaTeX (I

Guenter,
Thanks. I'll have to have a look at that, hopeful soon(ish). The only
possible problem is that the Elsevier class doesn't implement the
\maketitle command. Hopefully however, it should be relatively easy to
apply it.
As for only referring to the parts in the article layout file, I agree
Ok:This one, for me in ps, pdf and dvi, puts a blank page first and doesnt
display the last few subsections.

Please help!
Iam writing on my Diploma Thesis using Lyx 1.1.6fix4. After playing a bit
around with the settings for page width etc. I get no more ps output. The dvi
still looks ok and is displayed. No errors while the latex run. A ps2pdf on
the generated postscript gives an empty pdf.

Sorry, I forgot to mention, I used
exec-prefix=/usr/local/lyx2 and prefix=/usr/local/lyx2
when I ran ./configure -- but that couldn't be the
problem could it? Should I just cvs update and try
again?
Thanks,
