I finally figured out how to use tgif to easily generate eps figures
with complex LaTeX math embedded. tgif can display / position / modify
the WYSIWYG equation and the LyX math editor
Just installed Mandrake 9.0 with KDE3. I noticed that the default icon
for LyX is a typewriter. Is someone taking the piss or what? ;-)

As I broke it I'd better fix it...
Make a backup of your LyX and repeat
perl -pi -e 's:(\\label\{[^}_]*)_([^}]*):\1-\2:g' file.lyx

Hello,
I have like some other lyx user used underscore in my equation labels.
So far I have only opened the 2 latest chapters with lyx 1.2.1 (win32)
so only some 50 equations are affected.
I wonder if someone has created simple shell or other script that could
go through all equations lables in

Thanks Andre.. that did it.. it's actually not bad at all if I do
\widehat{\Sigma}_y instead of the subscript inside the widehat.

Hi all,
Just wondering where the -t a4 flag gets added to the dvips call. This
apparently produces nonconforming postscript. It at least kills the new
Xerox document centre thingy we've just got.
Running dvips on the command line, from the .dvi file lyx produces doesn't
seem to result in the lin
