Hi. I'm having a problem installing a new layout. I've created my own
layout file and put it under .lyx/layouts, including the associated .sty
file, but when I reconfigure the new layout doesn't appear (under
Layout|Document.)
I found a file called "textclass.lst" both on my own directory and
Angus,
Sorry about the delay. Thank you for your very helpful response to my

I think you still need to put the circle-R into a superscript.
I am not sure how to do that outside of math mode?

For the map most of the image is white space.

I had some difficulty getting the DocBook stuff to work on my Debian

1. Export to DocBook in LyX
2. Change the in the SGML to have lang="en" instead
3. openjade -c /etc/sgml/catalog -t tex -d

Following the suggestion in Herbert's Tips and Tricks page, I tried
running 'pdfimage' on a one-page pdf which is a map (probably originally
drawn in AutoCAD). I ended up with several hundred little files of the
format '-xxx.pbm'. 'pdfimage' is probably extracting each layer as a
separate file. Y
I'm trying to get both the circled-R (for Registered) and TM (for Trade

\textregistered and \texttrademark have a kludeged version and a textcomp
version that looks better.
So, in the book preamble I inserted '\usepackage{tex

Hi guys,
I want to nest an itemize environment within an enumeration, which is
straightforward at first by simply increasing the depth with M-S-right.
But I want to write some text after the list of items before going on to
the next enumerated item. To clarify this:
