Having exported some Italian text to Tex from Abiword, I found that
accented characters have been screwed, so that the accented "a" has been
translated to "\`{a}" and so forth. Lyx doesn't understand this, and
prints them as unaccented characters. How can I search-and-replace these
characters?

Documents Settings Bullets
has the bullet icons inverted with white characters on a black
background which makes it very difficult to see.
Can anyone else confirm this?

I would like to include EPS figures in my documents, but when I insert them
they do not appear in the resulting PDF files. The documentation implies
that EPS files should be supported natively - what am I doing wrong?

writen according to the documentation (and along the lines of typical
layout files) and is recognized by lyx (after rescanning for new tex
