deleted. After lunch and some gardening, I came back and guess what? The

Again, it's just a guess, but I think this might have been a 'stale'
lockfile. It got left behind at some point so Dropbox is confused.
That's why
Staff and I save to dropbox many, many times a day. I have never seen such an
error. We are a linux shop. Perhaps that is why.

I have three computers, each with a different OS (Linux, Windows and
MacOS), and have only seen this problem in Windows and in this file. I
created a folder within the folder of the original file, created a copy,
modified it, resave it and the error again appears. I am going to switch to
my MacOS
What I have tried is using another file in Dropbox, writing and rewriting
it. The error does not appear.
I have just made what you suggested (saving the file outside of Dropbox)
